The Rat Fest Pub Night is quickly approching! Thursday night on December 30th we will be playing some of the classic rat maps that HL2:DM has. The server will be public so if the server is not full of 911's feel free to invite your non-clan friends. There are currently 8 maps in the rotation, you guys dont have to stay for the entire thing or be there at the start for the entire thing. My goal is to keep the server populated through all of the maps and have a good time. For more info on maps and where to download them you can check it out in the forums here. Hey all, just wanted to wish everyone in |911| and friends a Happy Holiday. I've talked to some of you guys about putting together a rat fest pub a few days after Christmas. There will be more info on that in a couple of days, but we have a tenative date set for Thursday December 30th. For anyone who wants to get in ventrillo and chat it up that night make sure to download it. The vent server is listed on the left hand side of the site, and I feel it's been under used for how long we have had it so let's show it some love! Well, kinda old news by now, but I guess nothing is really old when you hear that HL2:DM has been updated! On September 30th, 2010 HL2:DM was ported over to the Orange Box Engine. Some changes consist of improved hit registration, the prevention of speed crawl (which also breaks the consistant bunny hop due to a pause in sprint), and an overall graphics improvment along with the change of the ar2 orb model. In some other news, HL2:DM has seemed to slow up a bit since the last update, we still play casually from time to time but it seems most of the competitive community has died out, at least in the US

When most thought that Half-Life 2: Deathmatch was on its last leg due to lack of competitive players and a dying community, a new league was forged with great support from the remaining players. The league was built from the ground up by various gamers, renewing interest in the game itself. With help from valued players such as LukeGT421, old disbanded clans are returning once again to pay homage to the once popular and great game. League play has begun. Matches are being played. Times are good in HL2:DM

As most of you know 911 has been competing in the Clans United European Summer Cup for 3v3. Well poule play is over and we went 2-1. We are now in the quarterfinals, and 1 win away from a 1 in 4 shot of winning! We play Cartel in the first round of the quarterfinals. If we win that game we will be playing the winner of RaW and flac in the semi finals. You can check out our results here.

Well, today is the day, 5 years ago I decided to start up |911|. There have been a lot of changes since then but it's good to still be going and competing. When I first started the clan I had never invisioned it to be one of the top in the game. I had hoped for it of course, but wasn't sure if it was actually possible. Sitting here now I can see how far we have come and it's unbelieveable. I want to thank all past and current members for making |911| strong and what it is today.

A project that has taken about a month has finally came to a close. I have worked on redline off and on through the month of july and it has finally been finished. It is released in this months cycle on the pub. The cycle features a fresh new set of maps that have never been played on the server before and have just been uploaded. Clans United is putting on a Summer 3v3 Cup with multiple prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places. To sign up you must have a minimum of 3 players and a maximum of 5. For more info you can check out their website at http://www.clans-united.net and also watch the trailer to the cup here.

Rise up is a 5 minute frag video from highlights of the 2v2 eFPS Summer Heatwave tournament in which we had 4 teams participating in. The video shows frags from Da11aS, Dazzle, Herbalizer, Richmankiller, Silencer, The Big Cheese, viperbird, and vap0rizer. It was about 3 days work all together and although not the best quality, I did my best to make the editing look as good as possible. Ninojman with the help of impala have put the draft night back in action! The first draft night will be sunday July 25th. This draft night unlike previous ones will be ran via steam rather than ventrillo. This helps keep out the ringers and will balance teams for some intense competitive and fun play. We are looking forward to participating in them!

I have finally released the map that I have been working on for about 2 years how. I entered it into the HL2:DM U competition where it was an honorable mention and also the AFB competition in which it took 2nd. This map is a metal bunker type map and has a nice flow. I have spent countless hours preparing, and readjusting this map so it is enjoyable to play for this community. Check it out here in the maps section. It is also up on all of the 911 servers!

When I first put this site up, I had always had the visual idea in my head of having a news ticker to display the latest updates, not only to keep people updated but because I thought it was a nice look to any website. This vision became a reality with the help of Hertz and his great work on this flash header. So thank you Hertz and I will keep things up to date with the latest HL2:DM info!! If anyone would like to post anything in the news header be sure to message me and let me know and I'll put it up there!

Our next event will be an Arena Showdown. Depending on if Rox bumps his server up to 12 slots, this will either be played on his server or The Pub. So first 10-12 players to sign up are in. We will be playing 10 arena (small) style maps, with a fraglimit of 30, so games should go relatively fast, but not as fast as the need for speed night. To sign up check out the private forums, and you can view maps there as well.
